Considering all that he’s accomplished, it’s difficult to reconcile the fact that Tre Lambert is only twenty-three years old. Drumming since he was old enough to pick up the sticks, he began touring professionally at the age of 16, and has played around the world with Tye Tribett, Jazmin Sullivan, Marsha Ambrosius, Meek Mill, and Future. Tre’s work on Tye Tribett’s Greater Than album made him a two time Grammy winner in 2014.
The Now Generation is an eight-piece band led by Tre on lead vocals and drums. TNG may be a newer band, but is comprised of some members that Tre has been playing with for years at his church at 25th and Thompson. With a background in gospel, TNG promise to bring a exciting mix of R&B and pop to this year’s Brew Fair!
THE PHILLY REGGAE BAND
The Philly Reggae Band is an initiative to contribute a more authentic representation of Reggae music in the city of Philadelphia and beyond. Philly Reggae Band is under the direction of Jamaican born, Philly raised artist, Jonifin Marvin Benjamin. With deep roots in Jamaican culture as well as American music culture, the direction of the music is a dynamic one where songs with reggae influences spanning across various music genres can be found in the PRB set lists. Jonifin Marvin also aims to provide another platform for local musicians who are knowledgeable of the Reggae genre to display their talent. PRB aims to be the official ambassador when it comes to live Reggae in Philadelphia.
FLAT MARY ROAD
Led by Philly artist Steve Teare, Flat Mary Road is a five-piece indie-rock band from West Philadelphia, that is largely influenced by the college rock of the late 80’s. FMR’s greatest strength may be its ability to simultaneously sound both sophisticated and weird, as Teare’s lyrics seek to narrate American life, pastoral and urban.
KEVIN VALENTINE & ELLA GAHNT
Fans of true musicianship will be sure to check out this set of heady jazz in the early afternoon at Brew Fair. Accompanied by Aaron Graves, Steve Beskrone, and Harry “Butch” Reed, each singer will perform standards and some originals solo, but you can also look forward to few duets!
THE CAT’S PAJAMAS
The Cat’s Pajamas plunge the audience into a wild, wonderful world of stories, puppets, props and costumes with their musical comedy twist to HIGH-OCTANE KID-ROCK. Whether performing as a duo or an 8-piece band, their infectious music with its uniquely theatrical spin has been taking kids and their parents on a musical joyride since 1990. Hop on!
